Referrals

REFERRALS FOR MEDICAL SERVICES & PROFESSIONAL COUNSELING

Client advocates encourage our mothers to seek the resources they need. Center staff routinely refers clients for medical services, such as prenatal care and STI testing at equipped pregnancy care centers and medical clinics. Our staff also assists with health insurance referrals through the county and referrals to mental health clinics and therapists.

ADOPTION COUNSELING AND REFERRALS

Our center offers adoption referrals and counseling, using licensed adoption agencies.

POST ABORTION SUPPORT

For those struggling with a past abortion decision, our Center offers on-site support as well as referrals for a variety of affiliated post abortion support groups, therapists and counselors.

REFERRALS FOR INTIMATE PARTNER VIOLENCE PREVENTION AND LEGAL AID

The Center refers clients experiencing domestic violence to the regional navigator for the east metro area. We also assist clients in accessing free legal aid services if needed.

ASSISTANCE AND REFERRALS FOR HOUSING, INCLUDING PREGNANCY HOMES

The Center uses state and federally funded agencies, as well as privately funded agencies, for our referrals. We are sometimes able to find immediate housing for pregnant mothers and mothers with young infants due to our partnering relationships with local maternity homes. Please call us at 651-777-0350 for more information.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR PREGNANCY-RELATED SITUATIONS

Women’s Life Care Center offers a Financial Wellness education program and the opportunity to apply for financial assistance for qualifying clients with pregnancy-related situations (participation in the program does not guarantee a financial award will be granted). We focus mainly on financial assistance for housing, and we work in partnership with other local agencies such as Cradle of Hope, The Life Fund of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, and the Community Sharing Fund.

The Center also provides referrals and financial assistance for Bridging to qualifying families in need of furniture and household goods. Clients must be enrolled in the FInancial Wellness education program to obtain financial assistance for Bridging-related expenses.

REFERRALS FOR FOOD AND CLOTHING AND ON-SITE ITEMS

The Center refers our clients to local food shelves and free clothing agencies. We also offer a variety of items that are contributed by center volunteers and donors, including: free maternity clothing, gently used baby clothing and baby items, non-perishable food items and gift cards for food. These items are available to expectant and postpartum mothers who are participating in our programs.

CAR SEAT PROGRAM

Our clients earn car seats by participating in the Learn and Earn education program. Several of our staff are certified car seat technicians who provide education and demonstrations on the proper installation and use of car seats. While free car seats are reserved for those participating in our programs, we are happy to provide free car seat checks to anyone in our community. Contact us to schedule!
