Facing Problems & Reaching for Dreams

Crystal’s infant daughter would remain in the NICU for weeks. The baby’s hydrocephalus resulted in the surgical placement of a shunt on the side of her head; constant monitoring was required. Sleep-deprived and lonely, Crystal contacted Women’s Life Care Center after being referred by a health care worker. Because she didn’t own a car, the center paid for Crystal to be Uber’d back and forth to parenting education appointments. As Crystal participated in life coaching, her confidence grew and her dreams for her future were reborn. Now, she encourages other mothers to ‘hold on’ and ‘ask for help’.
